| This is really interesting. Some Zelda fans have tried to tie the gaps between the Zelda series and the timeline that has confused Zelda fans for so long.
This is what they've come up with:
1) Minish Cap 2) Ocarina of Time
After OoT there is a split between two Hyrules.
Hyrule A (The Hyrule where Link continues to grow up) 3) Majora's Mask 4) Link's Awakening 5) Legend of Zelda 6) Adventure of Link 7) Four Swords 8) Link to the Past 9) Season/Ages
Hyrule B (adult Zelda, Sealed Ganon, 'erased' Link) 3) Twilight Princess ?? 4) Wind Waker 5) Phantom Hourglass ?? 6) Season/Ages
TP and Phantom Hourglass are still up in the air, of course, since at the time they made this they hadn't finished TP nd Hourglass isn't out yet.
Also, consider this quote from Aonuma Eiji from Nintendo Power "If you think back to the end of ocarina of time, there were two endings in that game in different time periods. First, Link defeated Ganon as an adult, and then he actually went back to being a child. You could say that the Wind Waker takes place 100 years after the ending in which Link was an adult."
